Meghan Markle’s trip to New York for a lavish dinner is set to get grander as the mother-to-be will be attending a baby shower courtesy of her buddies Serena Williams and Amal Clooney. The big scoop? The party will be hosted at America’s most expensive hotel room – a penthouse that bills $75,000 per night. It was earlier reported that the event would be one of the reasons for the seven-month pregnant Meghan to head over to New York.
The baby shower, according to Tatler, is scheduled to be on February 20, shortly before Meghan leaves for the UK. A source speaking to the website said that the baby shower will be held at the Grand Penthouse Suite at The Mark hotel located at Upper East Side in New York. It is the same place that Meghan and Serena stayed over on February 19, after dinner at a restaurant. Reports said that Meghan and her pals will host several of their friends at that suite.

The penthouse is a two-storeyed structure on the 16th
floor of the hotel and is designed by Jacques Grange, a French designer. Tatler reported that Serena will be paying the bills for the hotel room. It is described as A Castle in the Sky and features five bedrooms, four fireplaces and several other luxuries. The duo has been friends since they met in 2010.
