Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter who made his Bollywood debut with Dhadak opposite Janhvi Kapoor got rave reviews for his performance in the film. The young actor who was earlier seen in internationally renowned Iranian director Majid Majidi’s film Beyond the Clouds has proved his mettle as an actor. There has been a buzz for some time about Ishaan’s next project but the actor himself has been tight-lipped about the same. But going by the latest developments, we will probably see Ishaan in a biopic.
Reportedly, Ishaan is all set to star in a biopic based on the life of freedom fighter Birsa Munda, who was a religious hero from the Munda tribe. He was the one who spearheaded the Millenarian movement. His efforts gave rise to the tribal belt of modern-day Bihar and Jharkhand, during the British Raj. Birsa died at the young age of 25, so the makers were looking for a young actor and Ishaan seemed to be a perfect fit for the character. According to a report, Ishaan has liked the narration and has verbally given his nod to the film but is yet to come on board officially. The film will be directed by renowned south director Pa Ranjith who will make his Bollywood debut with this film.

The director who last directed Rajinikanth in Kaala had been working on the story for some time and post Ishaan’s nod, the process is expected to speed up. The film is set to go on floors soon.
Ishaan with his last release Dhadak became a commercially reliable actor and with Beyond the Clouds, he proved his acting abilities. Looks like his efforts have paid off!
