Last seen in Kaatrin Mozhi, the Tamil remake of Tumhari Sulu, and Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, it was recently announced that Jyothika has signed a yet-to-be-titled film with debut director S Raj under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures, who are currently bankrolling Suriya’s NGK.
Now, Suriya's 2D Entertainment has officially confirmed, via Twitter, that Jyothika is going to star in their next untitled film helmed by S. Kalyan of Gulaebaghavali fame. The shooting has kick-started on February 10, with a formal pooja. The film will also be starring Revathi, Yogi Babu, and Anandaraj in supporting roles.

The film will have music scored by Vishal Chandrasekhar, who is known for his creative and unique scores in films like Jil Jung Juk and Kuttram 23. The combination looks fresh and the audience can be in for some surprise from the Gulaebaghavali director.
Suriya's 2D Entertainment officially announced this project through their tweet, "Happy to announce our next with #Jyotika, as always, it's a pleasure and honor😄 #JyothikasNext @Suriya_offl @rajsekarpandian @dirkalyan @iYogiBabu @Composer_Vishal @thanga18 @SF2_official @proyuvraaj"

Coming back to Jyothika, buzz is that the actor has been roped in to play the female lead in Uyarndha Manithan, which will be directed by Thamizhvannan of Kalvanin Kadhali fame. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and with this, he will be making his debut in the Tamil film industry.
Needless to say, Jyothika surely has her hands full at the moment and she is sure to have a year full of films. Whether they will turn out to be hits or misses, we will have to wait and watch.
