Models are effervescent on runways but some legends out-walk their time on the ramp and live to be legends. One such supermodel is Gisele Bundchen who for years has maintained her throne of being the highest paid model in the world. However, the 37-year-old Queen seems to have been dethroned after seventeen years by the 22-year-old next-gen supermodel, Kendall Jenner.
According to Forbes, the famed Kardashian kid, has reportedly made $22 million in the past year through her endorsements, modeling assignments and Keeping Up With the Kardashians profits. She has several elite names in her campaign bag like lingerie brand La Perla, Adidas Original, cosmetics company Estee Lauder, Fendi and Alexander Wang. She even has a joint clothing line venture with beauty entrepreneur sister Kylie Jenner.
Kendall’s dough is much bigger than Gisele’s from her prime days but then again the leggy beauty has managed to earn more than Bundchen this year. While Bundchen retired from the runway in 2015, she still continues to take the money home with innumerable contracts to her name. According to Forbes, she earned a whopping $30 million in 2016 but this year it was almost halved to $17.5 million. She still remains the second highest earning model even two years after retirement.Despite her controversial stint with the Pepsico ad and the criticism that followed Jenner, it has neither dented her popularity nor her charisma on the ramp. If you are flipping through a fashion magazine, chances are Jenner is on it.
