It’s Sunday and your favourite chat show, Koffee With Karan is back with another exciting episode. The last episode saw Kartik Aaryan along with his Luka Chuppi co-star, Kriti Sanon, gracing the couch for the first time. The latest episode, apart from being exciting, was also a little stressful for KJo, at least his introduction said so. But why? Well, the handsome Tiger Shroff accompanied by his Student Of The Year 2 co-stars and debutants, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria took KJo back to the time when the SOTY trio made their Koffee debut, which is remembered even today, all thanks to Alia Bhatt’s terrific IQ. LOL!
“And we have two wonderful girls, one – a product of nepotism, there I said it before you did, Ananya Panday, daughter of Chunky Panday,” is how the host introduced Ananya. Kangana sweetie, such is your impact! From getting candid about relationships and their crushes in Bollywood to talking about their professional lives, the trio was a treat to watch. Presenting to you the highlights of this super-fun episode!
Tiger Shroff on the competition with actors of his generation
The super-talented Tiger Shroff is riding high on Baaghi 2 success. The fact that Tiger is blessed with some remarkable action, as well as acting skills, is not really a secret. The Baaghi boy is famous for his unbeatable dance movies, his kicks and his punches. Recently, Tiger is working with his idol Hrithik Roshan and the pride on his face was quite visible. On being asked if he feels the pressure of competing with other boys of his generation, Tiger had a rather generous reply. “I don’t, because I feel that what they do, I can’t do and vice-versa. I mean I cannot do (genre) what a Varun Dhawan or a Sidharth Malhotra can do. Sab apni jagah thik hai” Okay then, Tiger boy!
Tiger Shroff on his relationship with Disha Patani
KJo being KJo, quipped Tiger about how he never admits dating Disha but he is often spotted with her, holding her bag, outside a restaurant in Bandra. “Holding the bag for her makes me look better,” says a blushing Tiger. Aww! Tiger, however, still didn’t acknowledge seeing Patani. “I am great friends with her. I love her company and we are keeping it there. We both have many similar interests and I don’t have many friends in the industry, Disha is an exception.” Uff! Just admit it, Tiger!

A fresh batch of students on the couch, next week on #KoffeeWithKaran. #KoffeeWithStudents
Tara and Ananya are newest BFFs in the B-Town!
Throughout the episode, Tiger Shroff maintained that both Tara and Ananya can’t stand each other and are quite fake (of course, jokingly) and KJo joined the fun. Guess who came to these gals’ rescue? Director of SOTY 2, Punit Malhotra. In a clip played in between the show, Punit revealed how Tiger and him didn’t get along because Tiger would always do the opposite of what he ordered. Ananya and Tara, on the other hand, were absolutely inseparable on the sets. “They would eat together, drink together, once I went inside their room and saw that both were tucked in one blanket.” Haha! Tiger – 0, Gals – 1.
The ‘point-out’ game…
As interesting as it could get, Karan came up with a ‘Who do you think does this?’ a game wherein his students had to point out on each other. Throughout the segment, we learned that Tiger Shroff is a drama queen, is likely to lie about his relationship status (we second that). Ananya Panday is the biggest flirt, gossip monger, self-obsessed, party animal. Tara, you are clearly lagging behind!

@tigerjackieshroff revisits the couch with #SOTY2 debutantes @ananyapanday and @tarasutaria__ , next week on #KoffeeWithKaran #KoffeeWithStudents
Leg-pulling, Laughter and ‘Student Of The Year’ were all today’s show was about. We loved the combination of an innocent Tiger Shroff, bubbly Ananya Panday and graceful Tara Sutaria. Not to miss their crackling chemistry. Guess SOTY 2 is gonna be a fun riot, guys!
P.S. Karan Johar also revealed that he made Student Of The Year, only to feel ‘young’ since he was going through mid-life crisis. We shouldn’t be glad but we are, at least his mid-life crisis gifted us the supremely talented Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. ;)
