Prabhu Deva will be next seen in a film titled ‘Lakshmi’ featuring the talented Daddy actress Aishwarya Rajesh. Directed by AL Vijay of Deiva Thirumagal fame, the shooting of the film was recently wrapped up and is eying a release this summer. The producers of the film gifted Prabhu Deva something special on the last day of his shoot which touched the actor’s emotional chord.
‘Lakshmi' boasts of the musical score by Sam CS and cinematography by Nirav Shah. The movie is also jointly bankrolled by Trident Arts Ravi. Producers Prateek Chakravorty and Shruthi Nallappa of Pramod Films gifted the multi-talented actor, choreographer and filmmaker Prabhu Deva, a beautiful painting portrait to bid him adieu. “Lakshmi has more emphasis laid upon emotional factors and in relevance, our farewell had more such influences. Prabhu Deva sir has been a great support throughout the shooting and his involvement more personal as the story revolves around dancing,” said producer Prateek Chakravorty in an official statement.
“Director Vijay sir has always been ennobled as a producer-friendly person. His ideas, perfect planning and executing them proficiently have been a delight to producers. More than just hearing them, we personally experienced it during ‘Lakshmi’,” producer Shruthi Nallappa said.
Prabhu Deva was last seen in ‘Gulebakavali‘ which was written and directed by Kalyaan. The movie featured Hansika Motwani opposite him as the other lead. The film received a fantastic opening but eventually faded from the theatres. Competing with big banner films like Suriya’s ‘Thaana Serndha Koottam‘ and Vikram’s ‘Sketch‘, probably it was not the right time to release the film. The director of the film had said that this film will also have some mind-boggling visual effects. ‘Gulebaghavali’ also stars Revathy, Yogi Babu, Anandraj, Mottai Rajendran and Muniskanth.
