The year may be coming to an end but we are inching closer to the release of the next Star Wars film, ‘The Last Jedi’. A new trailer of the film released once again managed to curl our toes in apprehension of Rey’s fate in a galaxy far far away. The trailer released during Game 7 of the World Series Disney ended on an attention piquing dialogue by Luke Skywalker, “This is not going to go the way you think.”
The after taste of the new trailer leaves us with hints of Rey having joined the dark forcers or being misdirected by as was whispered by previous trailers of the Lucasfilm. We get to see Luke step inside the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon again and that is enough for every Star Wars fan to swoon over.
Scenes from the trailers suggest that the franchise will continue this tradition of never letting the past die and this film will mirror the story arc of The Empire Strikes Back. The film will see Rey headed to a distant planet to receive Jedi training from Master Luke Skywalker, similar to what the audience saw when Luke once traveled to Dagobah to train with Master Yoda.As the movie is slated for a December 15 release, we are all doing our best to stop ourselves from charging to the closest theater with our light saber swords drawn much like Rey in the trailer.
