Mia Khalifa certainly knows how to kick up a storm. From ruling laptop screens to trending on the Internet, Mia certainly has a knack for drawing attention. The former pornstar recently posted a photoshopped image of her face on that of an image of Virgin Mary and captioned ‘When a news outlet mistakes Malala for Mia Khalifa.’
Last week, Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai was slammed on social media after a photo believed to be hers went viral, wearing a pair of jeans and jacket. While many didn’t believe it was her, the unverified photo attracted trolls that compared her to Mia Khalifa. Despite all their efforts, Malala remained silent.
Mia’s stunt with the photoshopped Virgin Mary comes a week after that debacle. Now we all know that the Internet can be a creepy place filled with weirdos of all sorts and this post proved them right. While some joked about it, others were simply furious and pushed her to delete it. A couple others issued death threats – nothing new for the former number one pornstar.
Today’s episode is up and the link is in my bio!!! Day 3 of @outofboundsshow And I’ve already issued 2 separate public apologies, told a moderator to shut the fuck up, and pissed Joe Budden off. I’d say we’re off to the exact start we were hoping for 🤗 (shouts to @pierce.simpson for the pic)
Mia had said earlier that she had been sent photoshopped images of her being executed, but she ‘can’t show any weakness.’ “That’s exactly what they’re looking for. I really try and just make it look like it rolls off, but I’ll admit, it gets to you after a while,” Khalifa told Metro UK.
Many commenters wrote that they were offended by the comparison of her and Mary and called the former a ‘disgrace’ and said ‘I hope you rot in hell.’ On Instagram, one person said she was living 'in an alternate universe,' while another said: 'Oh, the narcissism, it's almost admirable'.
