Monsoon Shootout: Nawazuddin Siddiqui leaves us with déjà vu
Lately, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been in news for all the wrong reasons giving the controversies he was embroiled in around his memoir ‘An Ordinary Life’. However, his personal life might have been jeopardized but on the work front the motion poster and teaser for his upcoming film Monsoon Shootout is out.
The teaser for the crime thriller certainly leaves the viewers with a déjà vu effect wherein Nawazuddin Siddiqui is an antagonist. His role seems similar to his performances in films like Gangs of Wassypur and Anurag Kashyap directorial Raman Raghav 2.0.
The film is directed Amit Kumar and also stars Vijay Varma and Tannishtha Chatterjee.
Film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the first look of Nawaz in the movie and wrote alongside, “Nawazuddin Siddiqui looks sinister in the first look poster of #MonsoonShootout... Costars Vijay Varma and Tannishtha Chatterjee... 15 Dec 2017 release.”
The teaser has gory visuals of violence like a scene in which Nawaz is killing a person with a fork, and similar visuals follow throughout the teaser.
Monsoon Shootout premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, and is about a policeman facing a life-altering decision when he must decide to shoot or not. After a long delay, the film is finally releasing.
Earlier, it was being reported that this film would clash with Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai but will now release a week prior on December 15.
