Kannada cinema’s biggest blockbuster ever KGF completes 50 days of its glorious run on February 8, still running steady with many shows across Karnataka. The film has turned out to be a huge success story with its Telugu and Hindi dubbed versions too making profits. KFG's run in Kerala has been fantastic as well. The film could see only an average success in TN due to tight competition from many other films which released on December 21.
After the two Baahubali films, KGF is the biggest crossover pan-Indian success from the South industry, and it must be a moment of immense pride for hero Yash, director Prashanth Neel and producers Hombale Films. Yash is now a household name all over the country thanks to the impact of KGF. The film has grossed more than Rs 235 crore worldwide and is also the biggest ever grosser in Karnataka state, crossing the closing gross of Baahubali 2. It is part of the all-time Top 10 grossers from South Indian cinema!
The team is now gearing up to begin the shoot of the 2nd chapter of KGF next month. Yash was recently spotted looking hulk-like, with a beefed-up body and long ponytail at the Yatra trailer launch in Cochin. He’s sure to be super-motivated to repeat the Himalayan success of the first part.
