Actor and director S J Suryah who was last seen as the antagonist in Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal, has Monster waiting to hit the screens. This movie is directed by Nelson Venkatesan of Oru Naal Koothu fame. He is also gearing up to start shooting for Uyarndha Manithan, in which he is teaming up with Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan for the first time. Also, Uyarndha Manithan marks the Tamil debut of Big B.
So here is an exhilarating update for everybody, something that would come as a pleasant surprise for the readers. This mega scale biggie will have music by none other than our very own Mozart of Madras - A R Rahman. Sounds exciting right? Yes! We have been informed by our close sources about this new development and the team is said to be elated on bringing the legend onboard. An official confirmation on the same is awaited. Also, if latest reports are to be believed, the shooting for this venture is expected to begin from March 20 and Amitabh’s portions are planned to be shot in one single schedule.
A R Rahman and S J Suryah have already worked together in films like New, Anbe Aaruyire, Komaram Puli (Telugu) and Mersal and the two are also said to share a very good rapport off-screen. Meanwhile, A R Rahman is also working on Thalapathy 63, an as-yet-untitled Sivakarthikeyan’s sci-fi film directed by Ravikumar and Aadujeevitham in Malayalam, marking his comeback to Mollywood after a huge gap. 2019 is going to be an interesting year for ARR fans, as all his films promise to be in diversifying genres and themes.
Uyarndha Manithan is directed by Thamizhvanan, who earlier made Kalvanin Kadhali with S J Suryah. The film is bankrolled by Purple Bull International Pvt Ltd.
