Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is getting set to begin working on his Tamil debut Uyarndha Manithan. The star plays a pivotal role in this emotional drama which has SJ Suryah in the lead role. According to a source from the unit, the actor has given in a straight 40-day call sheet for the film and will be shooting for his portions in a single stretch from the month of March.
Uyarndha Manithan is written and will be directed by Tamizh Vannan, who has already worked with SJ Suryah in Kalvanyn Kadhali. Amitabh is said to have been blown away by the script, to which he has readily agreed. The makers are thrilled to have the star making his straight Tamil debut at this point of his career, which in itself is a huge privilege to the team.
Late last year, Superstar Rajinikanth launched the initial poster of the film. Rajinikanth himself was extremely surprised to see that his good friend had agreed to be a part of a Tamil film, questioning the team on how they managed to convince him. It is to be noted here that Amitabh will also be seen in a short but important role in the upcoming Tollywood biggie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which stars Chiranjeevi in the lead role. The film is gearing up for a grand release for the Dussehra weekend this year.
