While there are numerous speculations and talks about the youth music sensation Anirudh being the composer for AR Murugadoss and Rajinikanth's upcoming film, there is some confirmed news on the Naanum Rowdy Dhaan composer’s next project. He has signed on to be a guest composer for a film titled Thumbaa, that will have Darshan as the hero. For all those who wonder who Darshan is, he is the guy who played Murali Krishna - the love interest of Aishwarya Rajessh in the Arunraja Kamaraj directorial Kanaa.
Coming to Anirudh, he will be scoring for a number in Thumbaa but the main composers for this project are Vivek-Merwin. Santhosh Dayanidhi is also said to be composing for one song for this movie, which is directed by Harish Ram. The film will have Darshan in an urban boy's character, unlike in Kanaa where he was shown to be a perfect village guy. Keerthy Pandian, daughter of veteran actor and producer Arun Pandian, is making her debut as the heroine in this film, which is being produced by Roll Time Studios.
The promotional video and poster that were revealed on Thursday evening, were funny and interesting. Anirudh is seen talking to the director, who wants a song for a situation with a tiger in it. Within a few seconds, a tiger enters Anirudh's room and he is naturally shocked. He gets the feel of a tiger in the room and immediately starts composing. It looks like the tiger is called Thumbaa. The promos suggest that there could be a different type of content awaiting the audience. Stay tuned for updates!
