The Palakollu village in the coastal district of West Godavari was made proud when a son of the soil - Kodi Ramakrishna, turned into one of the biggest and most revered directors of Tollywood. Known for his supernatural fantasy films and heart-touching dramas, Kodi Ramakrishna has directed over 100 movies in an over 30-year career, with many of them going on to become blockbusters at the box office. Who will be able to forget the evergreen Arundathi, which became one of the biggest grossers ever in Telugu Cinema and is till date one of the best movies in Anushka Shetty's career.
