The trailer of the movie just released, have a look at the trailer and then read our take on it:
The storyline of the movie is a mixed bag. Cutting the repetitive aspect short, the only different thing about it is that the lead actor falls in love with a girl who is from the other side of the border and they meet in London. He realizes this after he falls in love and then he knits a series of lies around it and the story moves forward.
Comedy of confusion and errors is what we have been watching in all Smeep Kang movies. But this one didn’t impress us even a bit. The film has so many elements that the love story of the lead pair couldn’t get enough screen space in the trailer itself. An overdose of slapstick and situational punches is all that we saw in this trailer. The comedians take the limelight and we don’t get to see anything else in the entire trailer. Lead actress Mandy Takhar looks alluring but will she get enough screen time amongst these comedians?
Binnu Dhillon has been given the male lead roles after a long time but seems like he isn’t using the opportunity well as we are seeing him do the same thing in many movies. Gurpreet Ghuggi has a weird accent in the trailer. Seems like it is done just for an extra dose of laughter but not only does it sound fake and annoying, it also reminds us of his Munde UK De character. Smeep Kang, Nirmal Rishi, and Jaswinder Bhalla are given the roles which they have done before but even they don't stand out in this trailer.
In the year when we have so many prolific subjects coming up, watching this one seems a bit hard. Titled Band Vaaje, the movie will showcase a series of silly and cliched comic events that will finally see the couple getting united but hey, do we really want to see all this??
Even Laavan Phere had the same stuff and as a matter of fact, Smeep Kang's maximum films are about the same familial confusion. Nothing novel, nothing fresh and by the end of the trailer, we realised that Band Vaaje is a very repetitive attempt of a tried and test formula. This one is for those who have a bad taste in films! Excitement level: Naaah!
