Sridevi's husband and producer Boney Kapoor is a bigwig in the film industry and is known for handling and bankrolling multiple big scale projects at the same time. He is currently on a superb high with the commencement of his new Tamil film with Thala Ajith, which happens to be the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Bollywood film Pink. This film also marks the entry of Boney Kapoor as a producer into Kollywood, considering the fact that the Sridevi starrer Mom only had a dubbed release in Tamil.
In a recent interview with a media house, Boney Kapoor has shared some interesting details on his next project in Tamil, after his association with Ajith. Post the release of AK59, the duo will again be joining together for Ajith's 60th film, which was already announced earlier. Now, Boney has officially revealed that he has acquired the Tamil and Telugu remake rights of Ayushmann Khurrana's Badhaai Ho, which was one of the biggest ever hits of 2018. Even before this confirmation, many netizens had already expressed their interest to see Badhaai Ho being remade in Tamil and also wanted Sivakarthikeyan to reprise Ayushmann's role. With SK already having his hands full, it is not known as to who could possibly play the lead in this remake. After the completion of Thala 60, Boney Kapoor's next South Indian project would be the remake of Badhaai Ho in Tamil and Telugu.
