Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is the next biggest expected release in Tollywood, which has Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role. Directed by Surender Reddy, the film has been in the making for more than a year now. Made on a massive budget of Rs 300 crores, the historical-warfare film is currently undergoing its final stages of shoot at the Bahmani Castle in Bidar. However, in an unforeseen incident, the shooting was stalled when a group of protesters from the Muslim community gathered at the shooting spot, warning the unit to stop shooting.
It seems that the makers have erected some Hindu idols inside the castle at a place where Muslims worship. This agitated a few and they complained to the police against the film’s unit and gave an ultimatum to the Bidar District Officer for the immediate removal of these idols. With no other option, the local cops are in the process of shifting the statues. The security has been beefed up at the location and the director is now looking for other available location options. Talking about this incident, a unit insider said, "We have now stopped shoot after protesters agitated at the shooting spot. We are now on the lookout for alternate options to shoot some important scenes. At the same time, we do not want to hurt the sentiments of anybody."

Sye Raa tells the story of a rebellion leader from Rayalaseema who fought against the British. The first-look posters of Jagapathi Babu, Vijay Sethupathi, Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Tamannaah and Kichcha Sudeep have been released and they have all been well received. The project is being bankrolled by Konidela Productions. Stay tuned for updates...
