Multi-talented star Ravichandran, who is fondly called Crazy Star, is one of the legends of Kannada cinema. Having started his career as a child artist in the year 1971, Ravichandran has come a long way as an actor, producer and director. He has been having a quiet run at the theatres with his last onscreen appearance being the 2018 release Buckasura. His directorial and production venture Manjina Hari, in which he is also acting, has currently been shelved. However, he also has another similar project Rajendra Ponnappa, which he is producing, directing and acting in.
We have now received news that Ravichandran will be seen in two different roles in an upcoming murder mystery, titled Aa Drishya. This project is directed by Shivaganesh of Jigarthanda fame. Talking about this movie, director Shivaganesh said, “The USP of the film is that Ravi sir’s fans will get to see him in two different looks. One will be of him in his 30s and the other will be as a man in his 50s. Fans will definitely like his younger look, which will appear in the flashback bit where Ravi sir plays an inspector."
Apart from Aa Drishya, Ravichandran has a number of movies lined up for 2019. Interestingly, Ravichandran will be seen without his iconic beard and moustache in his role as Krishna in Golden Star Ganesh's upcoming mythology movie Kurukshetra. In a recent interview, he had also jokingly stated that he was disappointed with Kurukshetra as despite being Krishna, he did not have any female companion to romance with.
