Gabbar Sangrur, the man who suddenly shot to fame with his directorial debut 'Gangland In Motherland' has just got married to his lady love Navleen Kaur Lakhi. The couple married according to the Sikh customs and the wedding took place at a marriage palace near Mohali. Hailing from Lehragaga, Sangrur district, Gaurav Sharma aka Gabbar Sangrur, used to do theatre before moving to Chandigarh for his post graduation in theatre from Department of Indian Theatre, Punjab University.
He directed a few music videos, followed by getting the big break of handling the line production of the Hollywood movie West is West, which is a British comedy-drama film and the sequel to the award-winning comedy East is East. Post this project, Gabbar went on to working with many other projects as the line producer under his company Theatre Army Films, before finally making his directorial debut with a Punjabi web series titled 'Gangland in Motherland'. This Nishawn Bhullar starrer suddenly brought Gabbar's name to the limelight.
On the other hand, his newlywed wife Navleen Kaur Lakhi is a media person who has been associated with the Punjabi entertainment industry for a long time.
For their D-day, the couple chose to go subtle with light pink. While Navleen wore a light pink lehenga with heavy jewellery, Gabbar matched up with a white achkan and completed his look with a light pink dupatta and a turban of the same colour.
Punjabi artists including Karamjit Anmol, Nishawn Bhullar, Jass Manak, Guri and more were present at the wedding.
