Over a month ago reports in Tollywood had surfaced that both Dulquer Salmaan and Nani would be teaming up for an exciting action drama to be directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti. However, it now looks like the combination is not taking place as Dulquer has walked out of the project citing prior commitments. Earlier, actor Sharwanand was considered to be a part of the project for the same role, but he too could not take up the offer due to unknown reasons.
The makers of the film are now in a fix, trying to put the finger on an actor who could suit the role well. They had really banked on Dulquer to get on board the project, but this unexpected turn has left them disappointed. By the time Nani finishes his ongoing film Jersey and his upcoming yet-to-be-titled film with Vikram Kumar, the team will have to finalize a name.
Dulquer is now finishing off his portions for the Tamil rom-com Kannum Kannum Kollaiadithaal, and his Malayalam film Oru Yamandan Premakadha. He also has the Bollywood flick The Zoya Factor, in which he stars opposite Sonam Kapoor. The film is an onscreen adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel in which a girl from Rajput meets the Indian cricket team as an executive in an advertising agency, only to become their lucky mascot and help them win the World Cup in 2011.
