Right after the blockbuster success of Iru Mugan, Vikram was supposed to start work on a spy thriller titled Garuda, to be directed by Thiru of Samar and Naan Sigappu Manithan fame. The director and the cinematographer had even flown to Oman to conduct a recce for the film, as a part of the pre-production process. However, Garuda got dropped due to financial hurdles, post which Thiru went on to do Mr Chandramouli while Vikram moved onto his other projects.
Thiru is now working on his Telugu debut, an untitled film in which Gopichand plays the lead. According a source close to the director, Thiru has ushered some important sequences from the script of Garuda for creating this film, making necessary changes to suit the sensibilities of the Telugu audiences as well.
Gopichand had recently injured himself while shooting for a bike stunt sequence in the outskirts of Jaipur. After a short break, the team has now resumed the shoot, modifying the forthcoming schedules to suit the actor’s recovery. Thiru and his associates will be moving to Hyderabad once this schedule is wrapped up. The entire shoot of the film is expected to be wrapped up by June.
Upen Patel and Rajesh Khattar will be playing important roles in this thriller which has Vishal Chandrasekhar composing the music. Read More
