After making her debut with the Malayalam blockbuster Premam, Anupama Parameswaran is one actress who has got tied up with many projects in the Telugu industry. She had three releases last year, including Hello Guru Prema Kosame. And now, Anupama has signed her next film in Tollywood.
While reports first flew out that it would be Raashi Khanna, it has now been revealed that Anupama has been paired up with Bellamkonda Srinivas in the Telugu remake of the Tamil thriller Ratsasan. The film was recently launched through a grand pooja, and will be going on floors very soon. Anupama will be seen here as a school teacher, reprising the role played by Amala Paul in the original. The yet-to-be-titled film will be directed by Ramesh Varma of Ride and Veera fame, with music by Ghibran who had composed the songs and background score for the Tamil version too.
Ratsasan was one of 2018’s biggest success stories in Kollywood. The film with its watertight narration and a big bag of chilling moments became one of Vishnu Vishal’s biggest hits in his career, bringing in tons of praise for his towering performance as well. Bellamkonda Srinivas, after facing a long string of flops, is hoping to gain some momentum with this promising venture.
