Actor Jayam Ravi had two notable outings in 2018 in the form of India's first space thriller, Tik Tik Tik and the action entertainer, Adanga Maru. While the former had a good run at the box office, the latter received a positive reception from the audience and the critics. The young actor is currently shooting for his 24th film with debut director Pradeep Ranganathan. Tentatively called Komaali, this is a romantic comedy that has Kajal Aggarwal and Samyuktha Hedge as the female leads. Hiphop Tamizha scores the music, while Vels Film International is bankrolling the film. The production house is riding high on the successful opening of their latest venture, LKG, starring RJ Balaji, which released on February 22.
As for Jayam Ravi, the star has now made a new announcement on his upcoming films. He has signed a 3 film deal with popular film production and distribution firm, Screen Scene. The news was shared by Ravi on his Twitter space. Details regarding the directors or the crew members for these films are yet to be announced. Ravi will be doing 3 films with Screen Scene and those three need not necessarily be back-to-back. Screen Scene has distributed films such as Sandakozhi 2 and is gearing up to release Arun Vijay's Thadam on March 1 and Jai's Neeya 2 in the next few days. Screen Scene is also bankrolling Sundar C's next project as an actor, titled Iruttu, a horror thriller, directed by V.Z.Dhorai of 'Mugavari' and 'Nepaali' fame.
Ravi's 25th film will be with his brother and director Mohan Raja for the sequel of their 2015 blockbuster outing, Thani Oruvan and we will have to wait and see if Screen Scene will be bankrolling that venture. Director Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai and Manithan fame is also in the lineup of directors who are expected to work with Ravi.
