After making her debut in Akhil Akkineni’s Hello, Kalyani Priyadarshan has taken her own sweet time in listening to scripts and taking decisions. The actress was in talks for Ajith’s Pink remake, but the role ultimately went to Shraddha Shrinath. Kalyani then joined her dad to shoot for a small but important role in Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, the upcoming period flick starring Mohanlal and a host of famous actors. While reports have been flowing around that she is a part of Dulquer’s upcoming Tamil film Vaan, it looks like Kalyani is on the verge of signing her first big ticket film opposite Kollywood’s prince Sivakarthikeyan.
According to the latest reports, Kalyani is in talks with the makers to play the female lead in the film. Touted to be an action thriller with a political connect, it stars Arjun Sarja as the antagonist. Sivakarthikeyan, who is currently in the final stage of shoot for his upcoming comic entertainer Mr Local, will be starting the new project by the first week of March.
If things go right, the actor will have 3 releases this year, starting with Mr Local and then the films with Ravikumar and PS Mithran. The Mithran directorial ‘SK15’, as it is being called for now, is produced by 24AM Studios in association with KJR Studios. The entire cast and crew will be announced on the first day of shoot.
