It is a well-known fact that director Rajesh M Selva is Kamal Haasan’s long-time assistant in cinema, assisting the actor-director in many films all the way until the famous Vishwaroopam franchise. Rajesh had made his directorial debut wielding the gramophone for Kamal’s Thoongavanam, an action thriller which was the official remake of the French film Sleepless Night. In a recent interaction with the media, the director opened up on the idea of his guru making his way into politics.
Rajesh said that Kamal Haasan will never quit cinema, nor can anybody take away the element from the legend. He also revealed how he has requested Kamal to continue writing screenplay for films, even when he gets too busy with his political reign.
Kamal is now on the verge of resuming his mega biggie Indian 2, directed by one of India’s biggest directors in Shankar. The film had started off last month, but had soon cut short the first schedule due to some set work delays and logistical issues. According to Kamal, this will be his final film before he jumps into the political ring with full force. On the other hand, Rajesh is now concentrating on the post-production works for his upcoming thriller Kadaram Kondan, which has Vikram in the lead role.
