Two dashing new stills of Chiyaan Vikram from his next film, Kadaram Kondan, were released online earlier in the day and fans have been raving about the star’s hunky, stylish, never seen before look for the film. The shooting of the film has been completed successfully and it is currently in the dubbing stage. Kadaram Kondan is directed by Rajesh Selva and produced by Kamal Haasan’s production banner, RKFI.
In a recent interview to a noted Tamil magazine, Rajesh shared the interesting back story on how Vikram was cast in the lead role in a Kamal Haasan production. He said, “Kadaram Kondam was late Chandra Haasan sir’s dream project and we wanted to do it with Kamal sir. I got this offer immediately after the release of Thoongavanam. But since Kamal sir became busy in politics, we had to look for another hero. When I told him that we could approach Vikram sir for this film, he asked me to formally approach him for a story narration and take it forward from there. He didn’t want me to flaunt the fact that it was a Kamal Haasan production. Vikram sir was impressed with my narration; he also liked the fact that this was a film that was supposed to be done by Kamal sir. Vikram sir is just the 4th outside hero to act in a RKFI film after Nasser sir, Sathyaraj sir, and Madhavan.”
Kadaram Kondan may hit the screens this summer.
