The resounding success of Kadaikutty Singam at the box office last year has boosted Karthi’s slightly dimmed down career, with the actor signing back to back projects in a jiffy. As he looks up to the release of his stylish romantic drama Dev on the 14th of February, Karthi is now busy with his action flick directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram fame. But in the middle of all this, he has signed his next with director Bakkiyaraj Kannan of Remo fame.
Remo, which hit the screens in 2016, was a smash hit comedy entertainer that minted good beans at the box office. The film featured Sivakarthikeyan as a man who disguises himself as a female nurse in order to woo his ladylove. Though it struck the right chord with the mass audiences, Remo was also highly criticized for promoting stalking and the way in which Keerthy Suresh’s character was written for the film.
However, it looks like Bakkiyaraj has corrected his mistakes with this new script, as he has impressed SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures, the production house who will be bankrolling this project. This would be Karthi’s hattrick with the producer given the fact that they had produced his hit Theeran: Adhigaram Ondru apart from the ongoing Lokesh Kanagaraj venture as well.
