Dhanush and director Vetri Maaran's fourth collaboration, after Polladhavan, Aadukalam and Vada Chennai, is Asuran which went on floors recently. The second schedule of this movie is currently underway in Kovilpatti and Dhanush has joined the unit after the completion of his sister-in-law Soundarya Rajinikanth's wedding last week. Asuran, is based on the popular novel Vekkai, written by author Poomani. Dhanush is playing a fierce daily-wage labourer in Asuran, which will be veteran Malayalam actor Manju Warrier's maiden Tamil venture.
Now, we hear that comedian Karunas' son Ken Karunas has joined the unit for this second schedule. Ken has already worked in 2 Tamil movies - Nedunchalai with Aari and the kids based movie Azhagu Kutty Chellam. Ace stunt choreographer Peter Hein has also joined the Asuran unit for this schedule and they will be canning an intense rural-based action sequence in Kovilpatti. Pictures of Ken with the unit and Peter Hein and Dhanush at the shooting spot have been going viral on the internet. Many media houses have been posting these pictures on Twitter.
Dhanush and Vetri Maaran would be going back to shoot the second part of Vada Chennai after completing Asuran, which is expected to be completed as early as possible. A retro look photo of Dhanush and Manju Warrier, which was released by the makers - Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations, was highly welcomed by the audiences and had a very good reach. GV Prakash is scoring the music for Asuran, which also marks the acting debut of director Balaji Sakthivel. Versatile actor Pasupathi is also a part of this movie's cast!
