KGF is a film that needs no introduction. The blockbuster success of the non-stop action thriller in the Kannada and Hindi circuits made it a huge talking point, with the shoot for the sequel set to start very soon. But even before he has started work on the sequel, director Prashanth Neel has set himself up for a meeting with Mahesh Babu. Prashanth recently caught up with Mahesh’s wife Namrata, having discussions on a possible collaboration with the superstar.
A source in the know tells us, “Prashanth will soon be meeting Mahesh Babu for an interaction regarding his new one-liner that he has come up with. If Mahesh finds a liking, further things will be decided upon.” The director is currently concentrating on the pre-production work for KGF: Chapter 2, which will involve many more names from all across the country. The team had earlier approached Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon for pivotal roles, but an official announcement on their inclusion is yet to come out.
On the other hand, Mahesh Babu is now at the final stage of shoot for his family entertainer Maharshi which will be out on the 9th of May. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead with Allari Naresh playing an important character. Maharshi has been widely shot across the USA and Hyderabad. Soon after the completion of this film, Mahesh will start work on his next with F2 director Anil Ravipudi, touted to be a comic caper that will hit the screens in 2020.
