The month of ‘Thai’ for Tamils is very auspicious. Coming to Kollywood, the last few days have seen many weddings, the top one, of course, is that of Soundarya Rajinikanth’s wedding with Vishagan Vanangamudi. There was first a reception at Rajinikanth’s Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam last week followed by the wedding on 11th February in Rajini’s residence. The happy occasion was attended by film personalities and politicians that include Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy, Vai Ko, Stalin and his family, Mu K Alagiri, Kamal Haasan, Mohan Babu, Prabhu’s family, KS Ravikumar, Aditi Rao Hydari, Selvaraghavan, Andrea, Manjima Mohan and others.
Sam Anton who had directed films like Darling and Enakku Innoru Peru Irukku with G V Prakash got married to Ajhitha at Egmore church yesterday the 11th February.
Director/producer/actor Mano Bala’s son Harish got hitched to Priya. The wedding was attended by many celebrities that include director Shankar, AR Murugadoss, Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa Murali, DMK leader Stalin, director Vikraman, Kannan, Editor Mohan Raja, Jayam Raja, Vishal, Samuthirkani, mike Mohan, Chandramouli, Vijay’s parents S A Chandrasekar and Shoba Chandrasekar, Rajiv Menon and others.
While wishing the couples a very very happy married life, we also noticed that director Shankar was conspicuous by his absence in Soundarya Rajinikanth’s wedding but wasn't present in Mano Bala’s son’s wedding. We wonder why.
