On Monday, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal wrapped up the shoot for his portions in actor Prithviraj’s directorial debut Lucifer. In turn, the actor-director expressed his feelings through a heartfelt note that he shared on his social media pages.
Prithviraj started off by saying that he had to go through a lot of opposing talk from his well-wishers, who suggested not to shift paths as a director as it would affect his career as an actor. He then thanked Mohanlal for believing in him, and how the character of Stephen Nedumpally will stay special forever.
His note read, “So today..Lalettan bids adieu to #Lucifer and #StephenNedumpally. It has been a journey like no other for me. When I took up the challenge of directing a huge film like #Lucifer , most of my well wishers told me it wasn’t the wisest decision I’ve made..and that as an actor, its a foolish investment of time. I still don’t know about that..but what I do know for sure..is that I’ve probably learned more about cinema and my craft in the last 6 months than the 16 years preceding it. Thank you #Lalettan for believing in me..and directing you has been the absolute highlight of my career. Regardless of how many ever films I direct..or even if I’ll never direct a film again..#StephenNedumpally will always be special”.
The film will soon be wrapped up on the whole, with post-production set to fly in full swing from January. Prithviraj is looking to bring Lucifer to the big screens for the summer holidays of 2019. The teaser of the film will be launched on the 13th of December at 9am.
