After loads of hype created due to the viral reach of the songs, ‘wink sensation’ Priya Prakash Varrier’s Oru Adaar Love hit the screens last Thursday to a poor response. While people expected Priya to have a major role in the film, it was indeed Noorin Shereef and Roshan who stole the show with their performances. In addition to that, the climax of the film had received a huge amount of hate, with the director Omar Lulu resorting to tragedy in the name of reality.
Facing the backlash, the director has re-shot a 10-minute climax sequence for the film, which has been attached to prints across the nation from Wednesday onwards. Apart from this, close to ten minutes of the film has been cut, making it a crisper watch on the whole. The team hopes for a changeover at the ticket window with this new version.
Through one of our sources, we hear that Omar has admitted that his experiment with a tragic ending was something that did not work as expected, which is why he and his producer arrived at a mutual agreement to reshoot the climax. Commenting on the negative reactions to the film, the director felt that it was triggered by a group of people who had not even seen the film, and had intentions on degrading it from day one.
