Manam is definitely one of the most memorable films to come out of Tollywood because it had the entire clan of Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, Amala, Naga Chaitanya, Samantha and Akhil coming together on the big screen. The film marked the one and only instance where Nagarjuna shared the screen space with his son Chaitanya, but the duo is said to be on the verge of doing it again with the sequel of Soggade Chinni Nayana, which is about to go on floors soon.
Titled Bangarraju, the sequel will be helmed by Kalyana Krishna, who took care of the writing and directorial duties for the first part as well. The director, who has come up with a very enticing idea for the film, is now in the process of finishing off the final version of the script which he will present to the father-son duo soon.
Nagarjuna will be bankrolling this film under his own banner Annapurna Studios. The project is expected to go on floors by April. The actor has also signed another new film with Rahul Ravindran, the director of the romantic comedy Chi La Sow which worked its way up to grab a lot of attention last year. If things go well, we would see the actor shooting simultaneously for both these films which would be harmless, light-hearted entertainers.
