The audio launch of Petta, held on Sunday evening, was a grand affair with Superstar Rajinikanth and all the other main actors and crew members attending the launch. Cinematographer Tirru couldn’t attend the event due to prior shoot commitments. Rajini’s speech was without any political leanings and opinions; he just focused on appreciating all his Petta team members.
Rajini called Vijay Sethupathi (playing Jithu, the antagonist) a ‘maha nadigan’ (an extraordinary actor) and a great human being with a unique thought process. Rajini described Sasikumar (playing Malik) as a pure child who has a moustache and beard. The legend wished that Sasikumar stays happy in life by just continuing to act and not risk his money by venturing into production again.
Rajini also expressed how the entire unit was thrilled when they came to know that Simran would be acting in Petta. He also commended Trisha for staying so young over all the years and how practicing Yoga has helped her stay evergreen. Rajini also said that Trisha would appear with him in the flashback portions of the film and that she wouldn’t have the usual song-dance routines.
Rajini also spoke about 2.0’s recent huge success and how the producer of Petta, Kalanithi Maran was the man who started it all by producing Enthiran back in 2010. Rajini spoke fondly about how Maran gave him an extra complimentary cheque of 1 Cr after the huge success of Enthiran. Read More
