Politician Nanjil Sampath, who is best known for his peculiar speeches and comments, was recently seen as an actor in RJ Balaji’s LKG. He played the role of Balaji’s father and a politician. His screen presence earned a lot of cheers at the theatres. Many applauded him for his debut in acting and there were speculations floating all around that he had been approached for a crucial role in Vijay's upcoming project - tentatively titled Thalapathy 63. There was also buzz that he had accepted the same.
However, our sources have denied it. According to our source, “The rumours regarding politician Nanjil Sampath being a part of Thalapathy 63 is baseless and wrong. Nothing of that sort has happened.” Earlier, the makers of Thalapathy 63 had announced that Kathir and Yogi Babu are also a part of the film, alongside Nayanthara, Vivekh, Yogi Babu, Daniel Balaji and Anandaraj. Thalapathy 63 is produced by AGS Entertainment and directed by Atlee. The shooting of the film is currently underway in Chennai and is being shot by cinematographer G K Vishnu.
Nanjil Sampath's second film as an actor would be Sivakarthikeyan's second production venture that is being directed by Karthik Venugopal of Black Sheep YouTube channel fame. The said film marks television sensation Rio Raj's silver screen debut as a lead hero.
