We had earlier reported that Thala Ajith’s next film after Viswasam would be the official Tamil remake of Pink, to be directed by H.Vinoth. The casting updates from the film are yet to be made official but it is reliably learnt that young director Adhik Ravichandran (who has directed films like Trisha Illana Nayanthara and AAA) will be playing the role portrayed by Angad Bedi in the original. Pink is a film about three young women who are sexually harassed and pursue legal recourse. It is also said that popular Tamil television anchor Rangarej Pandey will be essaying the role of the ruthless opposing lawyer, played by Piyush Mishra in the original.
Adhik is known to be a huge fan of Ajith and he is said to be really excited and kicked about sharing screen space with his icon. Adhik is also ready with his third directorial venture starring GV Prakash in the lead; the film has been titled Kaadhalai Thedi Nithya Nandha.
The Pink remake team plans to wrap the entire shooting of the film by February, on track for a May 1 release in theatres. Since it’s a courtroom drama, the majority of the film will be shot indoors in sets to be put up at Chennai.
