Ace actress Radikaa Sarathkumar entered small screen in 1999 with the Tamil mega serial, Chithi, and there has been no looking back since then. She has become one of the pioneers of the television industry and has created a humongous fan base among the family audience. She has now made an announcement that she will take a break from acting in serials for the next two months as she's been continuously shooting for her projects. She added that she will be back in June at her regular 9:30 PM slot in a new avatar.
Through the post, Radikaa revealed that she is the only actress to have acted in a mammoth 6850 episodes in serials. This is indeed a massive record and it is a no easy task. Kudos to Radikaa! Despite the break, the evergreen actress said that her current serial, Chandrakumari will be on air with a change in timing, at 6:30 PM from its original time of 9:30 PM. It is not sure if the coming episodes will feature Radikaa or if she has already completed shooting for the episodes of the next 60 days. Chandrakumari was a historical epic series, made on a big budget, with director Suresh Krissna at the helm.
Radikaa is also simultaneously acting in supporting roles in films. Her recent memorable outings include Theri (with Vijay), Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Dharmadurai (with Vijay Sethupathi), Thangamagan (with Dhanush). She is currently awaiting the releases of her next two films, Mr Local and Atharvaa's Kuruthi Aattam, which are in different stages of production.
