After making her debut with Kirik Party in 2016, Rashmika Mandanna has gone on to become a busy bee in the southern industry, with a lot of films across the Kannada and Telugu industries including 2018’s huge blockbuster Geetha Govindam, in which she starred opposite Vijay Deverakonda. However, Rashmika is yet to make her way into Tamil cinema. Earlier on, the actress was speculated to play the female lead in Vijay’s ongoing film with Atlee, but dismissed the rumors herself through her Twitter page, saying that it was not happening.
However, her dreams of a Kollywood debut have now come true after she has been roped in as the female lead in Karthi’s upcoming film with Remo director Bakkiyaraj Kannan. The film is said to be a fun-filled urban entertainer, and Rashmika is looking forward to a good start in the industry with this one.
The actress is currently wrapping up her portions for Dear Comrade, her Telugu film in which she pairs up with Vijay Deverakonda once again. Rashmika plays the role of a cricketer in this Bharat Kamma directorial which is based on the student politics scene. The film will hit the screens in the third quarter of the year. Apart from this, Rashmika also has two Kannada films in Yajamana and Pogaru.
