After the magnificent success of the Baahubali franchise, Rajamouli began shooting for his massive action spectacle RRR which is currently being rolled out at a budget of close to 300 crores. Set in the pre-independence era, the film will focus on a bandit and a government official crossing roads, with further twists and turns on the way.
Rajamouli, who usually reveals the short storyline of his film during the promotional campaign, has decided to shy away from the practice this time. In the case of RRR, Rajamouli plans to hold in the surprises until the very moment where the audiences see it on screen, without spoiling the experience by giving them tidbits earlier. At a recent interaction with the media, the director said “I have followed different strategies for my films so far. I am not going to say anything about the storyline of RRR until the release, unlike what I did for Maryada Ramanna and Eega. When the time is right, I will speak about RRR.”
Rajamouli also added that the film is fast progressing with its shoot, and will hit the screens in 2020. The team is currently carrying out the next leg of shoot at Hyderabad, with both Ram Charan and Jr NTR in participation.
