It is now a well-known fact that popular Tamil actor Samuthrakani has found a spot in SS Rajamouli’s upcoming period drama RRR, which is being rolled at a huge budget of 300 crores. The actor will be playing the role of Ram Charan’s uncle in the film, which also stars Jr NTR. In one of his recent interviews, Samuthrakani has revealed the process on how he became a part of the film.
“After watching Nadodigal, Rajamouli sir had sent me a really long message appreciating the film. We had been in touch since then. Recently too, he invited me to Hyderabad and introduced me to all his family members. When he pitched the idea of having me in RRR for an important role, I instantly agreed. But it was Rajamouli sir who asked me to decide only after reading the entire script,” he said. The second schedule of the film is currently progressing in Hyderabad for the past 3 days.
The actor, who was seen playing solid roles in films like Visaaranai and Vada Chennai, will also be seen as an NSG officer in KV Anand’s Kaappaan which stars Suriya and Mohanlal. He is now getting ready with the Nadodigal sequel which he has directed. The film which stars Sasikumar, Anjali and Athulya is gearing up for its release in February.
