Legendary director Shankar, who is fresh from the humongous success of 2.0, recently was the special guest in Shruti Haasan’s chat show Hello Sago. His former associate Balaji Sakthivel (also the director of celebrated films like Kaadhal, Kalloori and Vazhakku Enn 18/9) accompanied Shankar in this friendship based chat show which is being aired for the past couple of months on Sun TV.
On the show, in one of the segments, Shruti asked the director about the hero that he would cast if ever he had an idea to do a sequel to his blockbuster Mudhalvan. To this poser, the director said that among the senior lot of heroes, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan would be apt while from the younger lot, Vijay would be the perfect fit for Mudhalvan 2.
Shankar also replied to a bold question from Shruti if he was softer towards heroines from the North and been partial towards them while casting for his films. Shankar said that it just so happened that North Indian heroines continuously find a place in his films (including Kajal Agarwal in his upcoming Indian 2) and that date issues had prevented him from casting core Tamil heroines in some of his earlier films like Gentleman.
