Shraddha Srinath has already proved her acting talent with her debut Kannada movie U Turn. And now, she is all set to make her big Bollywood debut with Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Milan Talkies opposite Ali Fazal. The trailer was released recently and needless to say the film looks super fun. The movie is about a boy who wants to become the biggest filmmaker in India, how his life revolves around movies and how he falls in love filmy style.
Talking about how she landed the role, Shraddha told a leading daily that it was the quickest audition ever. She said, “Tishusir was looking for a girl to play the lead and a writer friend of his had watched Vikram Vedha. ‘My writer has given a suggestion for an actor, so I called you for an audition,’ is what he told me. Then he sent me a script and I auditioned. After that he asked me to shoot it again with the camera closer to me. It was the quickest audition ever.”
She also told the daily that the first question she was asked was whether she knew Hindi or not? “‘Hindi mein baat karni aati hai?’ (You know how to speak in Hindi?). Well, I am from an army background. My dad is in the Defence forces and I have travelled enough in the north to get my Hindi right,” she said.
The film also stars Ashutosh Rana, Sanjay Mishra, Reecha Sinha and Sikander Kher. Produced by Filmy Keeda Productions in association with Om Prakash Bhatt (Purple Bull Entertainment), Milan Talkies will hit theatres on March 15.Read More
