Singer Ranjit Bawa engulfed in controversy over originality of Badami Rangiye song

Punjab is now becoming a land of controversies. We had just seen an ugly war of words between two female faces of the Punjabi industry and now a new warzone  (cold one) has suddenly been created between two singers, Ranjit Bawa and Garrie Dhaliwal, over a song titled 'Badami Rangiye'. Ranjit Bawa released his melodious track 'Badami Rangiye' on the occasion of Valentine's Day and going by the credits, his song has been written by Bittu Cheema and is sung and composed by Bawa himself. The music for Ranjit's song is by Nick Dhammu.

But another Punjabi singer Garrie Dhaliwal claims something entirely different. Garrie Dhaliwal, the loud jatt fame singer, in a recent video, shared that the same song 'Badami Rangiye' has already been sung by him in the year 2016. He also mentioned that the song is penned by lyricist Gurwinder Bal who gave out the song in 2014 and they got it registered back then. But lyricist Bittu Cheema claimed that he has written the song and got the same registered in 2015. He mentioned that he has spoken to Bittu Cheema about the same and clarified the facts to him as well.

The angered singer called himself a struggler and pleaded that Ranjit Bawa, who is well established, shouldn’t indulge in an act like this. In the video, he also said that singer Ranjit would get numerous other songs but he must not take the credits for a song that is sung by someone else.

It seems to be quite a sad thing that the credits aren’t given to the right person. Hoping that the credits go to the one who deserves it and this controversy comes to an end.
