Ever since the titles of SK 15 and Vijay Deverakonda's upcoming movie with Anand Annamalai were announced to be Hero, there has been a major war waging in the virtual world as to who has the legitimate claim over the title. SK 15, directed by PS Mithran of Irumbu Thirai fame, is being produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh's KJR Studios. Vijay Deverakonda's movie with Anand Annamalai is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, as their ninth production. After it came to light that both these projects were titled as Hero, a PRO from Vijay Deverakonda's side posted photos of Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council receipts for them extending the duration rights for the title Hero. Almost immediately afterwards, KJR Studios released a letter from the TFPC declaring that the title rights for Hero was with KJR Studios only. With this issue heating up, we got in touch with Mr Kotapadi J Rajesh to get his views.
The producer very strongly stated that it was them who had the legitimate rights for the title Hero and also added, "We have a letter from the Producer's Council on their letterhead, clearly stating that the title belongs to us. What the other team is having is just a worthless piece of paper!" This has added fuel to the virtual war amongst the fans of both stars speculating over who would get the title. The receipt furnished by Vijay Deverakonda's team shows that the rights for the title Hero as being extended till 14th of June, 2019, in the name of Mr M Manikandan of Tribal Arts.
Vijay Deverakonda is said to be playing a biker in his movie with Anand Annamalai, who has earlier directed the award winning movie Kuttrame Thandanai, with Vidharth in the lead. Mythri Movie Makers had announced that their project would begin rolling from April 22nd, in New Delhi. This project is reported to be a multi-lingual with releases in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
Let's wait and watch what Mythri Movie Makers will have to say about this new development!
