While we had stated that Vijay’s Sarkar has become the third film of the actor to be released in the Netflix platform, we also have an interesting update on his next which is his 64th film. Apparently, Mohan Raja who had directed the actor in his 52nd film Velayudham is most likely to call the shots for Vijay’s 64. Right now there are talks going on between the Thani Oruvan director and hero Vijay to work together. The director confirmed this while participating in a college function.
When Mohan Raja was asked when he would direct Vijay, he stated, “I had worked with Vijay sir in Velayudham and it was a memorable experience for me. Right now talks are going on between us. We will join hands again and I will very soon announce the good news”. The duo had earlier worked together in Velayudham and the first look poster of the film was inspired loosely from the video game series Assassin’s Creed. The film was also the remake of Telugu film Azad that had Nagarjuna and the late Soundarya.
After Mohan Raja’s last directorial Velaikkaran with Sivakarthikeyan, he was getting ready to work in Thani Oruvan 2 which would be his younger brother Jayam Ravi’s 25th film. Now that Mohan Raja has mentioned that he would be directing Vijay, it is not sure which film he'd work on, first. Is it going to be a Vijay film or Thani Oruvan 2? At the same time, there are also speculations that he (Mohan Raja) might direct Vijay's 65th film and someone else could helm the actor's 64th project. Very soon, an official announcement on this is expected. Raja is a prolific director and his combination with Vijay is expected to be a good one.
