The last few months have blown hot and cold for Tamannaah. After Next Enti failed miserably without making a noise at the box office, she got her mojo back with F2 which is now enjoying a blockbuster run at the box office. And now, the dazzling beauty is getting ready for her next release ‘That is Mahalakshmi’, the Telugu remake of Kangana Ranaut’s Queen. The film which was started off by Neelakanta, was finished by Prashanth Varma after the former walked out of the project due to unknown reasons.
Talking about the film, Tamannaah said that it could definitely bring about a change in the roles written for women in the industry. “Audience will always celebrate good content, if it is delivered in the right manner with the best sensibilities. The big success of one film is enough to guarantee better stories for women, and also encourage producers to spend their money on such films. I hope That is Mahalakshmi helps in that regard,” she said.

While Tamannaah plays the role in the Telugu version, Kajal Aggarwal, Parul Yadav and Manjima Mohan take up the spots in the Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions respectively. Bollywood composer Amit Trivedi is making inroads into the South with this film, which will hit the screens sometime in February.
