Ratsasan was one of the best made movies in Tamil, last year. This film about child kidnapping and murder by a psycho, was directed by Ram Kumar of Mundasupatti fame. The film featured Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in the lead roles in Ghibran’s music, PV Sankar's cinematography and San Lokesh's editing. Produced by G Dilli Babu and R Sridhar under the Axess Film Factory banner, the film amassed a lot of good reviews and it was a breather for actor Vishnu, who was having a dull patch in his career.
Now, this film is being remade in Telugu and it was launched on Thursday in Hyderabad. Bellamkonda Sreenivas will be reprising Vishnu’s role in this remake, which will be directed by Ramesh Varma. Actor Havish Lakshman Koneru is bankrolling this project for the A Studios banner. Raashi Khanna is speculated to take on the role played by Amala Paul, in this action thriller. From the Tamil version, Ghibran has been retained to compose the music for the Telugu flick as well, while Venkat C Dilip will crank the camera.
Sagar has penned the dialogues and Amar Reddy Kudumula will be responsible for editing. This film is yet to be titled. Bellamkonda Sreenivas is currently working on Sita and once he completes it, he will join the sets of this remake. The team is planning to complete the shoot and release it during the second half of this year.
