Thalapathy Vijay has completed his part in the recent Las Vegas schedule of Sarkar and has flown back to Chennai. But, you know what he did as soon as he landed in the city in the wee hours of Monday?
The star rushed to the Marina memorial of Late Kalaignar Karunanidhi to pay his final respects, at around 4 AM. The 94-year-old veteran politician passed away on August 7 and was laid to rest the next day. Vijay couldn't attend the cremation ceremony as he was away in the US. On his behalf, his father SA Chandrasekhar and wife Sangeeta paid their respects to Kalaignar at the Rajaji Hall in Chennai.
It is said that Vijay had a 22-hour-long, gruelling flight but still insisted on visiting the memorial first before he could reach his home. We commend him for this genuine gesture which is getting a lot of positive comments on social media and Tamil news channels.
Vijay has meanwhile completed Sarkar now and will just have to complete his dubbing and other promotional duties in the coming months, leading to the Diwali release of the film.
