Despite the failure of his Tamil debut NOTA, Vijay Deverakonda still seems to be brave enough to explore the Kollywood space again. The young actor enjoys a large and loyal fan-base down in Tamil Nadu, and it would be wrong if he shuts shop because of his debut’s failure. Rightly so, Vijay has signed up for his next film with popular producer SR Prabhu, to be rolled out as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.
The project will be helmed by debutant director Sri Karthik. The interesting point here is in the casting, which will have three much-loved comedians in Priyadarshi, Rahul Ramakrishna and Yogi Babu sharing the screen space with the actor. Though we are still unsure as to whether all of them would be coming in together, or would be slotted to star in just one of the two versions, this is a great move to connect with the common audiences.
Vijay Deverakonda’s last film in Taxiwaala turned out to be a successful venture at the box office, breaking even on its very first day thanks to the controlled budget at which it was made. The actor is currently shooting for Dear Comrade, a student-politico drama in which he is paired up with his Geetha Govindam co-star Rashmika Mandanna.
