After enjoying the roaring success of her film Ratsasan last year, Amala Paul is all set to be seen as the lead in a forensic crime thriller. The film, which is being directed by Anoop Panicker and scripted by Abhilash Pillai, will see Amala Paul as a forensic surgeon and it is the first time that she will be seen in a role of this kind. This film is being touted to be the first of a kind film, in its genre. Now, the latest development is that the film’s title has been revealed. Our source said, "Amala Paul's upcoming movie will be called Cadaver and it will go on floors from March 25 in Chennai. This story is a forensic based crime thriller."
According to reports, the film is inspired by true events and involves a real-life case handled by former Kerala Police surgeon Dr B Umadathan. The film will revolve around Amala Paul’s character and how she uses her intuition and intelligence to solve crime cases. It will be shot and released in Tamil. It is said that the writers of the film travelled to various medical colleges to conduct in-depth research and know the intricacies involved in forensic cases. The film will be bankrolled by AJ Films, in association with White Screen Media.
On the work front, Amala Paul has quite a lot of projects in the pipeline. The actress recently wrapped up the shoot for Aadai that is directed by Rathna Kumar of Meyaadha Maan fame. She also finished dubbing for debutant KR Vinoth’s Adho Andha Paravai Pola. In Malayalam, she will be seen in the upcoming movie Aadujeevitham, opposite Prithviraj.
